Smohkin' Dough...

Ricardo Carrera-Lowe and Stefan Doomanis

I love the entrepreneurial spirit and Los Angeles is the place to find the newest and the grooviest products and trends. In spite of  the tough economy, there is some serious dough to be made. Opportunities rises even in a recession. I had the pleasure of sampling some great smoked artisan bread from a new start up company, smohk (pronounced smoke). Wonderfully presented and displayed each weekend at Shelter Half at 161 South La Brea Ave.  by talented and creative founders, Ricardo Carrera-Lowe and Stefan Doomanis.  This savory product is only $9.00 a piece and all I can say is, you can't resist it! Delightfully sampled with handmade orange and lemoncello marmalades labeled Spirit; yet two other successful products created  by the founders and available on site.

Smohk bread  is specially and freshly crafted, therefore, you can get them on the weekend only which may change in the future due to purchase demands. Pre-ordering them on smohk.com is recommended. Also, check them out on https://www.facebook.com/SmohkLA. Seriously, let's "smohk and break some bread." You won't regret it.
